How PrepAcer marks written answers, point by point
Written answers are marked against a list of mark points, and you can see the reasoning for each one.
Mark points, not guesses
Exam answers are not marked on overall impression. Each question has a list of things that earn a mark. PrepAcer checks a written answer against that list and shows each point as met or missed, with a short tip for the next mark.
Which answers are marked how
- Multiple choice and number answers are marked by the app itself, instantly.
- Short and extended written answers are instantly marked against the mark points.
- Drawing questions are self-marked against a checklist.
You always have the last word
Automatic marking can occasionally get it wrong, so every marked answer has a “Question this mark” button. If credits run out, students can mark themselves, so they are never blocked. PrepAcer is a practice tool and not a replacement for a teacher's marking.
